Superstar Krishna celebrates his 65th birthday today. Born on 31st May, 1943 in Burripalem (Guntur district), he became one of biggest stars


He is credited for introducing many technical advancements in Telugu movies including first cinema-scope and 70mm.


He also became the first actor to don cowboy and detective roles in Telugu films earning him the nickname "Andhra James Bond". Krishna is widely acclaimed for his daring experiments and his performance (in and) as Alluri Seetarama Raju is regarded as one of the defining moments in the Telugu film industry.

Mahesh Babu is getting bigger by day. Tamil superstar Rajnikant's daughter Soundarya has now signed him up.

Soundarya who has just turned producer and associated with Hollywood giant warner brothers has roped in Mahesh Babu and hotshot director Puri Jagannadh for her maiden Telugu production.

Yes, the Pokiri team is repeating again


Soundarya has made Mahesh and Puri to agree to work again. The film will begin in January 2008. Soundarya's company, Ocher Studios, has entered into an exclusive multi-picture deal with Warner Bros Pictures india .

She is already producing a film in Tamil with hero Ajith on part of this deal.In Telugu, she has chosen the Pokiri team.

Pokiri sequel?It is learnt that the film might be sequel to Pokiri as Puri Jagannadh has been planning to do sequel to this all time biggest grocer in Tollywood.

Surely, Mahesh Babu is going high places.

According to our sources a new camareman who has worked for a few Bollywood movies will be introduced to Tollywood with this movie.

A new model from Mumbai is almost considered to play the female lead.

Trivikram is now in Chennai and will be back in town this week. The movie will go on floors from next month.

8 crores for varudu

Varudu was originally supposed to be produced by UTV and Indira Productions.

Now the subjected is being handled by S Ramesh.

Trivikram is reportedly being paid four and a half crore and Mahesh Babu eight crore.

The total budget is said to be 30 crores

Mahesh - Gowtham Menon film from Dec

Tamil hotshot director Gowtham Menon will be directing Mahesh Babu later this year. He has directed Gharshana in Telugu

. Gowtham is most sought after director in Tamilnadu as he makes very stylish films and gives altogether new dimension to the heroes.

Gowtham has singed a contract with UTV to do a Telugu film and Mahesh Babu is committed to do the same for the production house. We hear that both of them have now teamed up for UTV.

Currently, the Tamil director is doing two films - Surya starrer Vaarnam Aiyaram and a small budget film with heroine Trisha.

By December, he will be free from these movies and begin working for Mahesh's movie.

parvathi melton in varudu ?

Sexy long legged lass Parvathi Melton has bagged another big film after Jalsa. She played second lead in Jalsa that won her good appreciation.

Now, she is going to star opposite Mahesh Babu in his next film Varudu (tentative title).

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film has two heroines

The main heroine has not yet been finalized.

Trivikram and producer Singanamala Ramesh are trying to rope in a top Bollywood heroine for this film.

The film had its formal pooja on April 30th.

Manisharma is the music director. And the regular shoot begins from June.
