A week-long celebration is being planned by fans starting from August 2,to 9 the birthday of Mahesh ‘Prince’ Babu, son of film star Krishna.
As the ‘Pokiri’ turns 33, members of the All India Mahesh Krishna Sena, a socio-cultural organisation with thousands of fans across the State will switch into overdrive,
putting together blood donation and health camps, distribution of clothes to the poor, fruits to patients in hospitals and text books to students. All these apart from rallies and meetings that interestingly are laced with a political icing,
at a time when die-hard supporters of other stars including Chiranjeevi, (Junior) NTR and a host of others are leveraging every occasion to highlight their stars’ popularity, including birthdays, audio and ‘phillums’ hitting the marquee.
Though Congress circles are not forthcoming about their association with the Sena, clear indications are available that they are more than eager to utilise the opportunity provided by the birthday of their favourite star, to neutralise the possible ‘arangetram’ of the megastar by propping up Mahesh Babu.
